2010 Pro Hootball Hall of Fame Balloon Festival

The fam and I had a fun time tonight heading down to Kent State Stark Campus for the 2010 Balloon Festival that runs this weekend.  I SO SO SO SO SO wish that I had the 70-200mm lens for this event, but alas, my 28-75mm had to do.

The girls loved it and were in AWE of all the balloons.  Genevieve kept saying "Boon! Boon!", which is balloon in 17-month-old language, and Simone didn't want to leave at all.

We got there early enough to watch the balloons start to fill...

Then slowly, they descended into the air - love how this one lead the pack around it.

Up up and away.....

Every time the announcer said, "Let's hear it for....", Genevieve clapped for the balloon!!  It was too cute

Soon it was 8:30 and we thought the girls might turn into pumpkins if we kept them out much later.  We would have loved to stay for the after dark balloon glow.  However, our kids were tired, my CF card was 95% full, and I would have had NO clue how to shoot once it got dark so we headed home.  VERY cool night!
