Day of Photography

I had a great time today with the 20D and my Tamron 28-75mm f2.8 lens!  Got a lot of great shots between noon and 8pm.  It was a "Photography Day" of sorts!

My shooting started right after I got done teaching my Wednesday morning Village and Our Time classes at Kindermusik at Western Reserve Center for the Arts  We are located in downtown Hudson, a little city smack dab in the middle of Cleveland and Akron with a lot of history and charm.

Right downtown, there's a little grassy area with a gazebo and then just west of there is a shopping area called First and Main.  There are restaurants, shops, etc.  I grabbed the camera bag and walked around.

After leaving Hudson, I made my way home.  I realized that I had been wanting to snap a photo of a particular street sign for a while, so I made a slight detour and captured a fun image for my younger daughter!

She seemed pleased with the picture...

After dinner, our family went for a walk around the neighborhood so I focused on capturing some nature.

Not long after we put Genevieve to bed, it started to pour.  Simone asked if she could play in the rain.  Bob and I looked at one another, shrugged, and said, "sure go ahead!"

Little did we know that playing in the rain would soon turn into playing in the MUD!!!???  Those of you who know me know that I don't deal with mess very well.  I figured, "what the heck - I have my camera around my neck, let's just make this fun."  She had a blast, I got some fun shots, and we popped her in the bath immediately after.  She's good as new!

And one final image...I thought the reflection of the clouds in the water spotted mirror was pretty fun!
