A Girl And Her Dolphin

Happy New Year!!

Meet "Ee-Ee".  This is Genevieve's lovey.  He is ridiculously cute and she is head over heels in love with him.  Lately they have been attached at the hip.  She never leaves a room without making sure she has him in tow.

So where did he come from?  Back in 2010, Bob and I went on a cruise around the Southern Caribbean.  We stopped in St. Marten and picked this up for Genevieve, who was at the time only a little over a year old.  When we got home, we just popped it in her crib and hoped she'd enjoy it.

Boy did she ever!  We started teaching her animal noises and when we talked about the dolphin, we always said "Dolphins say eeee eeee eeee"  Well....it stuck.  Every time she talked about the animal, she called it Ee-Ee.  At first it bugged the hell out of me (Don't ask me why??) but now I think it's awesome!

I realized that I didn't really have any pictures of Genevieve with her friend and I needed to remedy that.  She was more than willing to snuggle up with him for a few shots!  I still have my childhood lovey "Puppy" and he's 34 years old.  My grandparents gave him to me when I was 6 months old.  He had to be restuffed multiple times and my Grandma drew new eyes on him more times than I can remember.  I have many many pictures with him that I treasure.  I hope that Genevieve will treasure these photos when she's older.
